In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Revealed
According to the official statement, "An unusual encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of prohibited practices and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The narrative features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine group.
The adventure concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Material
Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
